Our Services

Pacific Estate Law prepares estate planning documents designed to protect you, your loved ones, and your legacy in the event of your incapacity or death.

Will-Based Planning

A comprehensive will-based estate plan will designate a guardian for minor children where appropriate; appoint fiduciaries to assist you with medical treatment and day-to-day activities in the event of incapacity; and provide for the distribution of assets at your death. Under a will-based plan, a court-supervised probate proceeding will likely be required to ensure that your assets are distributed in accordance with applicable law.

Trust-Based Planning

Trust-based planning offers an alternative to probate. A properly funded trust, while more complex to set up, will avoid probate, keep your estate plan private and minimize the delays and costs of estate administration at your death. All trust-based plans also provide lifetime incapacity planning for ultimate peace of mind.

Wealth Preservation Planning

Advanced wealth preservation planning can be used to address a variety of circumstances, including business succession planning; an anticipated inheritance; timber, mineral, or other natural resource interests; the existence of a taxable estate; protection of assets from creditors; caring for special needs beneficiaries; and philanthropy.
